DFA QuickBooks Connector (internal application of Friest Management LLC, doing business as David from Accounting)
Last updated: October 25, 2026
Scope. This policy covers the Firm's internal QuickBooks Online connector application, used only by Friest Management LLC, doing business as David from Accounting ("the Firm"), to serve its bookkeeping and accounting clients. The application is not offered to the public.
Data the application accesses. For each client company that authorizes the connection through Intuit's OAuth process, the application accesses that company's QuickBooks Online accounting data: chart of accounts, transactions, invoices, bills, payments, and financial reports.
How the data is used. Only to perform the Firm's engaged services: bookkeeping, account reconciliation, financial reporting, and related advisory work. Data is never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared with third parties for their own purposes.
Pilot configuration. During the pilot period the application runs in read-only mode. Create, update, and delete operations are disabled at the server level.
Storage and security. OAuth credentials and refresh tokens are stored on Firm-controlled equipment in access-restricted files, transmitted only over encrypted (TLS) connections, and available only to authorized Firm personnel. Client financial records are retained according to the Firm's client engagement terms and record-retention obligations, then disposed of on the schedule those terms set.
Client control. A client company may revoke the application's access at any time from within QuickBooks Online (Apps, My Apps, Disconnect), which ends the application's ability to access that company's data.
